Quality assurance
Indewe QC Oy performs inspections for welding and steel manufacturing
Inspections ensure, for example, the operational safety of pressure equipment and steel structures. They help prevent accidents caused by the deterioration of materials, such as steel, due to environmental conditions, content, or usage (e.g., corrosion, cracks, etc.). Other factors that affect safety are also checked, such as the qualifications of the pressure equipment operators and supervisors, the reliability and functionality of safety devices and systems (like automation), and the condition of external structures.
Indewe QC Oy’s delivery inspector oversees the progress of delivery on behalf of the client
Delivery inspection (expediting) is a crucial part of a company’s procurement process and purchasing activities. It ensures that every stage of production is monitored and reviewed. The delivery inspector guarantees that customer requirements are met, ensuring the supplier acts in accordance with the purchase order confirmation. Rarely do projects run smoothly from start to finish as planned. Delivery inspection manages these changes, ensuring all parties are aware of any alterations. With proper monitoring, deviations from the contract can be anticipated, allowing corrective actions to be implemented early.
Planning the delivery inspection
Every project should have a well-structured delivery inspection plan. Indewe QC Oy’s staff helps ensure the plan covers all essential aspects, including scheduling, cost management, material handling, logistics, production inspection, and testing schedules with predefined inspection points.
Delivery inspection reporting
The QC inspector reports on the supplier’s performance and monitors compliance with cost, quality, and schedule requirements. Regular and prompt reporting enables proactive delivery inspection, preventing potential deviations. In critical deliveries, it is recommended to have a QC inspector present on-site continuously. Unfortunately, deliveries often do not proceed as scheduled if the supplier is not closely monitored. Delivery project issues typically arise from misunderstandings of delivery requirements and poor communication between the supplier and the buyer.
