Qualification of personnel for permanent connections – Personnel certification
The EU Pressure Equipment Directive defines the approval procedures for the qualifications of welders. As a Notified Body, Insteam Oy has the authority to approve the qualifications of personnel involved in permanent connections. In the manufacture of pressure equipment, the directive requires third-party involvement in the qualification of personnel making permanent connections for equipment classified in categories II-IV.
Insteam Oy is an accredited inspection body S069 (EN ISO/IEC 17024).
Qualification of Welders, Welding Operators, and Welding Supervisors
Qualification is carried out in accordance with the following harmonized standards:

- SFS-EN ISO 9606-2 Welder Qualification Test. Fusion Welding. Part 2: Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys

- SFS-EN ISO 9606-4 Welder Qualification Test. Fusion Welding. Part 4: Nickel and Nickel Alloys

- SFS-EN ISO 14732 Welding Personnel. Qualification Tests for Welding Operators. Mechanized and Automatic Fusion Welding of Metallic Materials and Resistance Welding
