A2 certifications
We have certified manufacturers according to the A2 module for various applications, including new production, repair, and modification of industrial pipelines and pressure vessels. Contact us to certify your system for production under the A2 module.
A manufacturer may apply the A2 conformity assessment procedure of the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU for pressure equipment or assemblies in categories 1 and 2, provided they have a contract with the Notified Body, Insteam, for final inspection supervision. This agreement grants the manufacturer the right to use Insteam’s Notified Body identification number 2545.
The A2 module can also be used for the repair and modification of pressure equipment, where allowed by the Pressure Equipment Act (16.12.2016/1144, Section 76) and the Government Decree on Pressure Equipment Safety (29.12.2016/1549).
The agreement for assessment includes:
- Application submission
- Preliminary assessment of the application
- Contractual assessment
- Final assessment (product evaluation) and certification (production license)
