Energy assessment

We also prepare energy assessments that are required for major renovations of buildings needing building permits. In practice, the building inspection defines on a case-by-case basis when an energy assessment is required for renovations. The circumstances under which an energy assessment is needed vary between different municipalities’ building inspections.

Additionally, we provide a leveling calculation for planned detached houses, which is necessary for the building permit application. The leveling calculation demonstrates that the building meets the requirements of the Finnish building code collection.

The municipal building inspector determines whether an energy certificate is required in addition to the leveling calculation for the building project.
